Behind the scenes with Comedian Rashad Bashir

Funny, Hilarious and Outrageous all of those words and more expresses how I feel about my upcoming guest Comedian Rashad Bashir!!!  I had an meeting with him on 4/30/2012 at Union Square in NYC.
He is quick, quirky and he can improvise on the spur of the moment he did it for me a joke about XS Energy Drinks and had me almost with tears in my eyes lol.  Rashad is a natural when it comes to knowing comedy and what the people want.  He has the ability to observe an audience, quickly get into the right joke pattern and then hit them with it right in the chuckle spot.  At our meeting he was very straigh forward and polite as he explained to me why he choose comedy.  He likes helping others and feels that laughter is the best medicine for healing a person's mind and soul.  I do agree with him that it relieves stress and anxiety a well as mood swings and more. He wanted to to comedy ever since he was 9 years old, he loves laughing and really got into it when he got into high school.  He wanted to be popular so he did imitations of the schools faculty. Sean likes to think out of the box and he wants to be one of a kind and that is what he strives for. He is thinking of opening a comedy workshop, he says "You have to be a natural with comedy".  Sean calls himself "the Heckler King" and some of his favorite comedians are Mike Epps, Arnez J, Dave Chapelle, All the kings of Comedy: DL Hugley, Steve Harvey, Bernie Mac and Cedric The Entertainer. He also likes Redd Foxx, Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor.  His favorite movie is Beverly Hills Cop (Love that one myself).  He wants to appear on "Who's Got Jokes" as well as working with Perry Strong doing a documentary on comedians. He says that there a three things to being a good comedian and you will find out if you tune in and watch the show on cable or catch pieces of it on Youtube  http://www.youtube.com/arlenebrownmedia or my main website : http://arlenebrownmedia.ezweb123.com if you tune in you can catch his advice for upcoming comedians, what he is up to know and what the future holds for him.  Take a moment and check out his page on FB at https://www.facebook.com/rbashir2
